Why AWT exists
I’m Umut Gultekin, a digital accessibility specialist, founder of CLSDIR and co-founder of Accessibility Cloud, where governments and enterprises test their websites, apps, and documents against WCAG, EN 301 549, Section 508, EAA, and more.
I have spent many years measuring how the web fails disabled people. The numbers never improve. 95.9% of the top million home pages fail automated WCAG checks, and last year, for the first time in six, they got worse. Auditing sites one at a time will never close that gap. The only thing that scales is fixing the tools people build with.
I also love two things that had never met: WordPress, which powers four in ten websites, and IBM’s Carbon Design System, one of the most accessible design systems.
AWT is what happens when they meet.

The short version
A block theme and a blocks plugin, free and GPL-3.0-or-later, with no telemetry, no callbacks, and no license keys. Over 50 blocks, over 40 patterns, four paired light/dark style variations, and an accessibility checker inside the editor.
This site runs on AWT.
